Welness Diet Based on Biblical statutes found in Leviticus and Deuteronomy

Eat only when hungry and eat slowly enough to stop when full. 

Suggested in unlimited amounts

  • Fresh whole vegetables,
  • fresh vegetable juices,
  • fruits,
  • brown rice,
  • legumes (except peanuts and peanut butter),
  • herbal teas (no or low caffeine)
  • Fish (unprocessed, without skin and organs), e.g., flounder, tuna, wild salmon
  • Fowl (unprocessed, without skin and organs), e.g., chicken, turkey, etc.
  • Wild game (unprocessed, without skin and organs), e.g., deer, elk, moose, bison
  • Lamb (unprocessed, without skin and organs)

Suggested in moderation

  • Whole Grains, e.g., spelt, millet, buckwheat, quinoa, kamut
  • Eggs (organic or from free-range, natural fed chickens)
  • Seeds and nuts, including seed and/or nut butters (raw or dry roasted)
  • Butter (organic, without BST in milk source)
  • Sea salt
  • Extra-virgin olive oil, but not for frying

Suggested in limited amounts

  • Goat’s milk, buttermilk, cheese, yogurt (organic, without BST in milk source)
  • Fresh fruit juices (from juicer)
  • Sweets (all natural, sweetened with honey, molasses, maple syrup, fruit juice, dates, raisins, rice malt, barley malt, no refined sugars)
  • All light in the home should be supplied from full spectrum sunlight bulbs.
  • Reverse osmosis purified water should be used for drinking and cooking.
  • Indoor plants for air purification are recommended.
  • Daily (6 days per week) walking of at least 60 uninterrupted minutes is recommended. Twenty to 60 minutes of daily sun exposure is also recommended.

No No’s (any substance that contains even one of the following is not to be ingested)

  • Cow’s milk, including whole, low fat, skim, evaporated, homogenized, pasteurized and raw milk
  • Alcohol
  • Beef, pork, shellfish, e.g., shrimp, lobster, clams, oysters, squid, etc., other seafood without scales or fins, e.g., catfish, shark, octopus
  • Organ meat and skin
  • Refined sweeteners, e.g., white sugar, brown sugar, sucrose, fructose, corn syrup, lactose, maltose, dextrose, evaporated cane juice, sucralose, etc.
  • Refined grains
  • Margarine and other hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils - Additives, e.g., colorings, stabilizers, preservatives, emulsifiers, conditioners, etc.
  • Coffee (including decaffeinated) - Aspartame (NutraSweet®) or any artificial sweetener
  • Canned foods and fried foods are to be avoided; use fresh or frozen foods, preferably organic. Foods should be cooked at the lowest possible temperature in glass, cast iron, by steaming, baking, or stir-frying. Aluminum pans, Teflon pans, and aluminum foil should not be used. Never use a microwave oven.

It is also suggested that cosmetics, hair products, soap, toothpaste, antiperspirants, and deodorants on the commercial market be eliminated. There are many natural healthy alternatives to these products, described in numerous books. There are also many fine books on natural and alternative approaches to health and health-promoting food preparation.
